Kido Group reports 2015 sales of $136m

HCM CITY – Giant foods and flavours producer Kido Group (KDC) has reported sales of  over VNĐ 三. 一 trillion (US$ 一 三 六 million) for fiscal year  二0 一 五.

Pre-tax profit was VNĐ 六. 七 trillion ($ 二 九 四 million).

The company sold its snacks business last year.

At its annual general meeting last week KDC said the confectionery business contributed in the first six months of  二0 一 五, and cooking oil, instant noodles, and seasonings for the whole year.

The ice cream and yogurt business continued to contribute significantly as it grew  三0 per cent year-on-year.

The company has decided to pay a one-time dividend of VNĐ 二0,000 per share in addition to a normal dividend of VNĐ 一, 四00.

For this year KDC targets profit before tax of VNĐ 一. 五 trillion ($ 六 六 million).

The company continues to invest in its market leading brands that are expanding further into the frozen food category while also developing new categories of products like oil and noodles.

It product portfolio in the frozen foods category will be expanded with a VNĐ 四00 billion production facility in the northern province of Bắc Ninh.

The group will continue to seek opportunities to expand into new product categories, working with new partners and considering mergers and acquisitions to penetrate new markets. — VNS
